Partnerships
PRMA teaches club owners and managers how to understand and manage risk. Our partners help put that into practice: Courtside Advisory handles the legal and tax side of running a club, and BrokerQR handles the insurance.
Legal and tax advisory partner
Courtside Advisory is a legal and tax practice for racquet clubs. Its clients range from first-time owners opening a single site to multi-site operators and clubs working through operational or financial challenges.
Its lawyers and advisors spent years in BigLaw restructuring, courtrooms and Fortune 100 consulting before turning to racquet clubs. They also play, hold club memberships and send their kids to junior programs. For padel clubs, Courtside Advisory works alongside PRMA on risk education and certification.
The contracts a club runs on, plus the lease, lender and partner problems when they come.
The entities behind the club, the tax savings a buildout creates, and numbers a lender or investor can trust.
Insurance partner
BrokerQR is a licensed insurance broker that does two jobs for your club. First, its risk advisors work out what coverage the club actually needs, based on your courts, programs, lease and contracts. Then its placement team goes to market and buys exactly that plan.
BrokerQR also stays with the club after the policy is bought. When a player gets hurt or a court is damaged, its claims team handles the notice, gathers the facts and works with the carrier and adjusters so the coverage responds as intended. Through the year it reviews new contracts, tracks vendor certificates of insurance, and looks at incidents and near misses to help prevent the next loss. What it learns from each claim feeds into the next renewal.
For padel clubs
PRMA-certified clubs can access a custom insurance program built for padel facilities, with coverage matched to the club's waivers, contracts and lease. Find out more at padelrisk.com.
Injuries to players, guests and spectators, and cover for clubs that serve alcohol at a bar or events.
Glass walls, lighting, turf and the building itself, plus lost income if a loss takes courts out of play.
Higher limits above the primary policy, participant accident cover, and cover for staff and coaches on payroll.
To be placed in the padel program, someone at the club must complete PRMA's Padel Risk Manager certification within 30 days of buying the policy.
PRMA is an independent nonprofit and does not sell insurance or give legal or tax advice. Insurance is placed through BrokerQR, a licensed insurance agency that may be paid a commission by the carrier. Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy issued. Legal, tax and advisory services are provided by Courtside Advisory. Content on this page is general information, not legal, tax or insurance advice for any specific situation.
